Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Wallymanager uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit or use our service.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile) when you visit a website or use a web application. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, to provide information to the owners of the site, and to improve the user experience. Similar technologies include localStorage, sessionStorage, and web beacons.
2. How We Use Cookies
Wallymanager uses cookies and similar technologies to ensure our application functions correctly, to provide security features, to remember your preferences, and to understand how our service is used. We categorise the technologies we use into Essential and Analytics cookies.
3. Essential Cookies
Essential cookies are strictly necessary for the operation of our service. They include authentication tokens (JWT) stored in localStorage to keep you logged in, account identifiers, Google Sign-In credentials, Google reCAPTCHA v3 for bot protection on login and registration forms, and user interface preferences such as your selected language, theme, and active tab selections. These cookies cannot be disabled as the service cannot function without them.
4. Analytics Cookies
Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our service by collecting and reporting information. Wallymanager does not currently use any analytics cookies. If we introduce analytics in the future, we will update this policy and request your explicit consent before activating them.
5. Third-Party Technologies
We use the following third-party technologies classified as essential: Google reCAPTCHA v3 (loaded only on login and registration pages for security/bot protection) and Google Identity Services (loaded on login and registration pages to enable Google Sign-In). Both services may set their own cookies when loaded. These are classified as essential because they are integral to the core authentication and security functionality of the application.
6. Cookie Duration
Session cookies are temporary and are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period or until you manually delete them. Our authentication tokens in localStorage persist until you sign out or they expire. reCAPTCHA and Google Sign-In cookies follow Google's own retention policies.
7. Managing Cookies
You can manage your cookie preferences through our cookie consent banner, which appears when you first visit the site. You can also update your preferences at any time from the Privacy & Consent section in Settings. Additionally, most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings. Please note that blocking essential cookies may prevent the application from functioning correctly.
8. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. When we make changes, we will update the 'Last updated' date at the top of this policy. If the changes are significant, we will notify you through our cookie consent banner, requesting you to review and accept the updated policy.
